This was my first Kylie Scott book, and not one I would normally pick to read but I was looking for something new and I am so glad I bought this book. Lick is the first book in Stage Dive about a rock band. David Ferris, the lead guartist and songwriter for the band gets married in Vegas to a girl he just met after a wonderfully fun evening spent together. Unfortunately, Evelyn doesn't remember any of it when she wakes up the next morning. Unfortunately, Evelyn doesn't remember any of it when she wakes up the next morning. I was immediately drawn into the book and you feel sorry for David. He reacts in anger to her admission that she doesn't remember the night before or their wedding and tells her he will get his lawyers on an annulment and storms out. It is obvious that his anger is coming from his hurt and dissappointment.

Evelyn returns home, sure that an annulment is for the best but is hounded by the media. David steps in to help her and whisks her back to LA until the annulment can be finalized. However, it is soon apparent that there is something between the two of them and they agree to give it some time to see what happens.

I loved David's character. He was a rock star and an Alpha male but he also had a tender side. He didn't suddenly become a puchover or share all his emotions but showed his personality through his actions. Evelyn is a sweet girl who has always had a plan and done the "right" things. She doesn't want to profit from her relationship with David and is obviously out of her depth in the rock scene. She notices things about him, and realizes their is more to him then a rock star and starts to see that while she may have been really drunk and can't remember their night together, David wasn't drunk, remembers everything and had his reasons for marrying her.

The relationship is wonderful and it's fun to watch them grow and get to know each other. I really enjoyed the scenes in Monteray where they stepped out of the spotlight to spend some time just getting to know each other and discover they might just be right for each other.

Of course, it isn't that easy and there is some drama that comes along with David's past and his inability to completely trust. Evelyn also has her issues to work through. There is humor,drama, and some intense sex scenes. I also enjoyed the side members and look forward to seeing the future stories. I couldn't put this book down and finished it in one night.

Simple, generic story about young girl who falls in love with gorgeous and very rich man. That man loves her, then come some troubles and then is all right again...

Real life is ages from this story- it would be great, if some things could be possible...
