I loved the book. Racism is a very hard subject to tackle and Picoult does a good job writing about it. Turk, the white supremacist, was the most interesting character to me and terrifying at the same time. The book gave me a lot to think about especially with the current political climate in America.

I usually love Picoult and the way she writes her books. But with the world the way it is, my escape is reading at times and I found myself not wanting to read cause I was reading this book. I know racism is a very real and live thing, but I don’t feel that I’m racist. I felt when reading this book it was almost like watching the news. I got to about 25% of it and I’m going to have to stop. It’s taking a joyful thing like reading and making it not so joyful.
