Omg this book had me in tears. I waited to see the movie that was made for this novel because I didn't want to ruin it and I am so glad that was the road I chose. Such an intense discussion to have with your readers and with such hard hitting subject matter. I see all sides of this and how each person is affected differently. Such a rollercoaster of emotions and I am just left broken hearted but touched at the same time.

Louisa has worked at a restaurant for over 6 years. Her boss tells her he is going back to Australia and closes the restaurant without any notice. He gives her three months severance. Yup, a tear jerker, but so worth the spilling of tears :) it's a wonderful moving story, and I was so drawn into the characters and the story that I couldn't put the book down, tearing through the pages , mulling over and digesting the complexities of life's challenges that Lou and Will find themselves in. You'll be reminded that there's no black and white answers, only differing perspectives of love, life and loss.

One of those very well executed but tough subject matter (with triggering potential).
If you can read Jodi Picoult, you can read this one and I do recommend it.
For a very thick novel, it flew by fast in one sitting (note: life long speed reader) as there was no way I could step away from it.

I'm overwhelmed with emotion. How can you watch someone choose to die and know you are powerless to make them change their mind and want to live?

Louisa Clark is a friendly, kind woman that has a long term boyfriend, and lives at home with her parents. She just lost her job at a café and is looking for anything to get her and her family by. She gets a job offer from Camilla Trainer to take care of her quadriplegic son.
Will Trainer had everything he ever wanted in life. He was a lady's man, he travelled all over the world, and he bought and sold businesses as he saw fit. Then he was hit by a car and his entire life was ruined. Turns out t ...more

I was hesitant to pick up this book since it wasn't my usual historical fiction, but it was recommended to me so I gave it a try. It started out slow for me, but once I got caught up in the story I was hooked. I didn't put this down all day until I was done-needed quite a few tissues at the end. I'm glad I didn't dismiss this and I will be looking for more from this author.
