All righty, I'm a little bit torn about this book. First off, I listened to the audiobook and I feel like that always throws my rating off a little bit. Was it the book I did/didn't like or was did the reader throw my bias a bit? I actually thought the reader was pretty good on this book. She has a dramatic voice without being over the top or whiney or overdone or anything like that. I thought she was right where she needed to be. So great job to the narrator, in my opinion.

**3.5 stars for story and 3 stars for narration**

"I wasn’t a screaming captive being dragged into the darkness. I wasn’t pleading and begging. If that’s what she expected, she was going to be disappointed. I was here to meet her, one monster to another."

I haven't read that much Y/A, but I do love mysteries. I'm waaaaaaay older than the target market, so don't let the Y/A bit put you off, as this is still an enjoyable book.
This was such a quick and fun read, I loved it from start to finish.... but ... I did contemplate giving it a 3*. The reason? I didn't / couldn't get very emotionally involved with Breezy (our protagonist). Don't get me wrong, she's great and I really want to read another book in the series (seriously there better be one comi ...more

I received this book as a first read. I am so happy I got to read this one. Wow! Such a great read. This one will hook you from the first page. It hooked me from the first sentence. It kept pulling me in and I could not put it down. Definitely creepy fun read. I will definitely read more from this author.
