I thought I wouldn't like this book, but I absolutely loved it - I mean full-on, never-wanted-it-to-finish, loved it. The writing flowed so beautifully, the characters were unbelievably real, and the premise and setting was amazing. I am still stunned. I would never have picked this book up normally and I can't believe I would have missed out. I'm only about a decade late to this Raven party but hey, better late than never, right?
Obviously this is a beloved series by many, given its rating. However I find myself wondering if I read the same book. 🤔
I kept feeling like I missed something. As though this was not the first book in the series. I was confused as to what was happening and why a lot in the beginning. And I still don't really know why we cared so much about the ley lines to begin with.

One of my daughter's all-time favourite reads so she wanted me to find out why she loves it so much. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that I'd become really invested in the characters and completely caught up in the plot-line! Can't wait to read the next book now :)
