"She thinks they walk among us."
It happens so many times that we judge someone from the first meeting. We start to assume so many things about them. In some cases, we start hating them without even talking to them. On the other hand, sometimes a psychopath killer would be sitting right next to us and we wouldn't even notice.

Mr. Mercedes is not your typical Stephen King novel. Still, it has horror elements with human monsters instead of supernatural ones! I’m a SK fan, regardless of the genre he chooses to pen. I found this book just as good as his normal works.

I have been putting off this series for a while, but I am glad I finally got around to starting! Bill Hodges a ret det is not adjusting well to retirement. One day though, he gets a letter from the past and reawakened, is he going off the range to solve one of his old cases or will he confess his nosings to his old partner? As the city seems to fall apart with crime, Bill and an odd cadre of colleagues are closing in on the Mercedes killer, but will they be in time?
