Not your typical historical romance
At first I wasn't sure that I was going to like this book, or the series, but there was so much hype around it and it was so highly recommended that I couldn't resist giving it a try. 3.5 Stars. Wow this one was interesting for me. I've actually had this book for years and just kept putting it off because it's so dang long! I think I would have loved this book had it been 200 to 300 pages shorter. I had a hard time getting into the first part of the book as well. I pushed through knowing that Claire would be traveling through time back to Scotland. Unfortunately, there were still a lot of boring parts in this book. Simply amazing...you venture into worlds of adventure, intrigue, historical facts, and love. The characters take you with them on their journeys and you don't want to leave! A page turner...and a repeat read.
