4.5 maybe?

I wasn't expecting anything from this book. I hated the movie no country of old men so I was kinda scared of this one.

I read it slowly and I think it's the best to do it that way. It's very descriptive so you are diving right into the book. It's depressive and gray and dark and gray and perturbing and gray. It's slow but I wasn't bored.

I even got teary eyes at the end.

So this one is tough for me to review. It was hard to get into and I didn't like the writing style at all, however about maybe 50pages in I got really intrigued. Sometimes I was really into what I was reading and other times I was so disinterested it was hard to focus. The ending was kind of anticlimactic and a little sad. So I was torn, it wasn't an awful book but it wasn't a fantastic book either. ...more

So, I wrote a review for this when I read it but accidentally deleted a whole bunch of reviews when I was reorganizing my shelves... So I guess I just have to read them all again so I can give accurate reviews :D
