5 stars. I can see why King didn’t like Kubrick’s film adaptation. The book and that film differ so much that I would’ve been pissed too honestly. I enjoy that movie quite a bit but it takes a lot of liberties that it didn’t really need to.
This was such a fascinating read. Jack’s slow descent into madness in the Overlook hotel was really well done. Every out burst, every action is very particular and he gets crazier and crazier. The Overloo ...more
