Shelves: thriller, horror

Wow! Such a gripping, intense tale! I could hardly put this book down and I was pretty scared through a good portion - a 'good' scared though like riding a roller coaster or jumping off the high dive!

Jack, Wendy, and Danny Torrance

Why is it always a little bit spookier when books and/or movies of this nature features a child in any way. I think the fact the child wasn't the harbinger of doom (i.e Children of the Corn) made it not as scary, but still.

Stephen King has a way of pulling you into a story and holding you there until the final showdown between good and evil.

Jack was rife for the taking. I didn't feel like he was a good man even before they made it to the hotel/inn, and not just be ...more
