OK! I admit it. I slogged through to page 179 then finally gave up and skimmed to the end.
I really, really wanted to like this protagonist. A 'brainy' woman who is a mathematician and crime solver appealed to me. Unfortunately, Sophie Knowles did not. None of it felt 'real' to me.
