Loved this book. So fun. Billy is dropped off at the cabin of Dr. X Libris. But there isn't a tv and he has only books, but the cabin and the island are covered with cameras recording everything. Billy starts to read and hears and sees what he read in the book. He crosses to the island and finds that what he read is happening on the island and every book he reads continues to mesh with the previous book. Great book to help encourage reading and reading classics in young people. ...more

It took an awfully long time for son and I to finish this, because he wasn’t very interested for a long time. But we persisted and I think he liked it more than I did, as per usual. I love Chris Grabenstein’s adult mystery series that I wish he would go back to, but this is a little too corny for me. While this book is not as good as Lemoncello's Library, it was still pretty good. When I read I feel like the characters are coming to life all the time, I wonder if I made it onto Dr. Libris' island if I could make them appear. ...more
