A typical cozy mystery where the heroine, Abby Knight can't keep her nose out of everyone's business and proceeds to put herself and everyone else in danger. I liked the setup for this series - Abby owns a struggling flower shop with Lottie and Grace and being nosy and helpful, gets herself into situations that would scare the pants off of a normal woman. Abby Knight dropped out of law school and bought a flower shop. Abby has a habit pf trying to help solve other peoples problems. When there is a hit and run on her vintage Corvette Abby is determined to find the other driver. She also ends up assisting her co-workers niece with her divorce from the owner of a large local garden store and becomes interested in the sexy new owner of the local bar. I liked the book - didn't love it, didn't hate it. I can't figure out how Abby ran her business as it seems like her employees, especially Grace, were almost always at the shop before Abby rolled in. I also didn't get the snobby mom and why this family of retired cop and kindergarten teacher were able to join a country club. This is such a long running series, though, so I'm thinking maybe the books get better? I'll try another one at some point.

While I enjoyed the book more than the movie, I still had moments where I was not happy with the book and was checking for how much more to read. I also felt the need to say "Polo" every time I came across the name "Marco."
