I've been wanting to read this for a long time - it's actually been on my TBR since 2015. I'm so glad I finally made the effort because this quirky book is the best cozy mystery I've read in a while. The premise is a bit unusual, so I thought it might be too silly. But it wasn't! I instantly liked Georgia and her daughter and fell completely in love with Sid. He actually reminds me a bit of Harry Dresden's "Bob". Read it in record time and will definitely be continuing with the series! ...more

A Skeleton in the Family by Leigh Perry is the first in the Family Skeleton mysteries. Georgia Thackery has a family skeleton Sid who has been with her since her childhood. When Sid seems to recognise some-one from his past who is then murdered, Georgia begins an investigation into Sid's past. I really enjoyed this book very much and am glad that I picked it up.
