There is no doubt that the art in this is beyond stunning. It made me want to learn Arabic because it is so beautiful. I also learned a lot about the Quran that I was completely ignorant on before this. There are a lot more similarities to the old testament than I ever knew. While this is a beautiful novel, part of me even has trouble giving it 4 stars because there are so many problematic elements in this book. Females are exploited in this over and over again. Me sorprendió mucho, pensé que iba a ser una historia algo musulmana leído pero en realidad era una novela grafica. Conforme leí las primeras paginas, pensé que iba a ser algo denso por sus menciones al Corán y la Biblia, pero resulto ser un libro que constantemente comparaba las historias que tenían en común mientras contaba una historia de amor trágica pero feliz.
