Two of John Hart's first three novels have won the Edgar award. That's quite an accomplishment for any writer, especially one who is new in the field. His writing style comes close to the tremendous level. The fly in the ointment here is the same to me as it was with his previous novel: the long arm of coincidence stretches too far. I really enjoyed this book. I've been put off by the mystery books I've been reading lately. They are either written poorly, not interesting or plots that are beyond anyone's realistic imagination. This book was well written with a good story that had a lot of red herrings and twists. There was a minor point that I couldn't see happening but overall a very good book. I recommend it!
