I loved this! In the author's note, he mentioned that before this book he had mainly written literary fiction and I could tell because the characters in this story were more fleshed out and interesting than any other genre fiction I have read (barring ASOIAF).

That was way too long. There was too many characters that were useless to the story and we never saw them again. I liked the concept of it, vampires in a zombie type book, that was interesting and refreshing but other than that I wasn't a fan of the book.
