This book covers so much ground. I was invested in Amy and Wolgast's story chugging along, and then had to read about a whole new giant cast of characters, which threw me off this one for a bit. But eventually, as the storyline came together, everything picked up again, and I will be reading on to see how the storyline resolves.

Really awesome book! I admit the beginning dragged a little for my taste and I felt like I was slogging through it, but that's just the first few chapters and by the time I was finished I didn't want it to end!

I kept putting off reading this not only because it was so long, but because in general I'm not a fan of vampire stories. But this was worth every page, and there were times when I stayed up late into the night because I kept needing to know what happened next.

A dystopic world of human frailty, heroes, fear, hope and above all, night. At first the author seems to be trying to write in the style of Stephen king and it isn't until about a third of the way through that he settles into his own unique writing style, and is the better off for it.
Ends with just enough answers to be satisfying and enough questions to keep you anticipating the arrival of the second installments of this trilogy. An enjoyable meaty read, worth sinking your teeth into (get it?). ...more

This book was awesome. It was long, but totally worth every word on the page. This is the first author that is even close to Stephen King with his style. Any fans of Stephen King should definitely give this book at try.
It was a bit reminiscent of I Am Legend, but I've never read that, only seen the film.

Long, beaucoup de personnages et quelques passages que j'ai dû relire mais un univers et une intrigue qui donne envie de lire la suite." ...more
