This book covers so much ground. I was invested in Amy and Wolgast's story chugging along, and then had to read about a whole new giant cast of characters, which threw me off this one for a bit. But eventually, as the storyline came together, everything picked up again, and I will be reading on to see how the storyline resolves.

I do feel like it was a bit longer than I would have liked, but not sure what I would have taken out. Maybe I should say that I wish this had been a bit more gripping, o

I was sorely disappointed with this monstrosity. I enjoyed the setup in the first 150-200 pages when Wolgast is rounding up death row inmates for some kind of government testing but them they grab a 6 year old girl. WTF? This started off well, but after the first third, I had trouble following the characters. It's great to come across a well written book, they seem few and far between. I was really impressed with the way Justin wrote the book. The way he used diaries and official documents to move the story forward really added to the experience of reading.

My only complaint is that there were way too many characters to remember.

I think that EVERYONE should read this book. I have been recommending The Passage from the third chapter and I will continue to keep telling everybody to read it.
