I remember reading this book years ago. Strangely enough I liked it better back then. Maybe because the thriller genre was more new and there were less good ones?
Still it is a good thriller. I kind of like MC, the male, tough detective as you can find in the hard boiled detective novels from the 20’ and 30’ of the 20th century:-) And of course Dennis Lehane knows how to write an interesting, suspenseful book! A solid 3,5 stars, almost 4 stars.
