#1 Gaslight Mystery
New York 1896, we meet widower Sarah Brandt who works as a midwife. She is estranged from her wealthy family after she chose to marry beneath her status, and therefore decided to become a midwife. I did not think I would like this book as much as I did. Story-line a bit harsh, but handled well in the dialogue and reactions of the main characters. Very glad I finally read this, will be reading more.
