2 stars. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue on with this series. I don't think I can handle such a big series with heroines that are ridiculously stupid and very immature. I can't do it. I'm at my wits end with making myself read series I'm not all that into. I don't know for sure if all of the heroines are as annoying as the one in this one but I don't think I want to even take that chance.

All that said, this wasn't terrible but I was expecting so much more from it. I've heard so much about

I loved this book...Indy comes to her best friend's brother for help when she and a friend are shot at. Lee Nightingale...yummy Alpha, ex-military and runs a PI/security/not sure what he does type of firm. Indy is hilarious and I so enjoyed seeing all the trouble she gets herself into and Lee gets her out of. This is the first book in the series and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Kristen Ashley has grabbed me again. ...more

I really tried to like Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley but the main character was not very likable. Indy is suppose to be in her 30's but acts under 21 more often than not. And really, by this time, she needs to grow up. Rock Chick, after a certain age, is really immature. Lee Nightingale became too "he-man" even for this USMC wife. I will try reading the next book in the series, but it will be awhile before I check it out. ...more

I actually ended up quite enjoying it though I was also thoroughly exhausted by the end of it as though the book essentially takes place over 5-6 days top, the sheer amount of action and trouble the author managed to put the main characters through was off the charts, though admittedly a lot of fun to read.

What i liked about it were the quirky characters and
