Like my friend Heather, I listened for 7 hrs of this audiobook and just couldn't continue. When I read contemporaries, I want the heroines to be modern women who are capable enough not to need a man to take care of everything in their life but not so stupid that they don't ask for help when they are over their head. There was no reason whatsoever for Indy to get in this fix. The person in trouble wasn't part of her family or even her BFF. When things started happening, she should have ca

#1 in the Rock Chick series

12/29/24 to 12/31/24 - 5 stars - This book hit the spot for me this time. Now that I've read all of the books in this series, I know Indy better and can understand her lifestyle, her fun personality, and her exuberance. She is an action girl (as she puts it), always on the lookout to keep busy, have adventures, and live life to the fullest. Often, these traits put her in danger (that could have been avoided) or embarrassing situations (which don't seem to bother her).

I'm not sure what I expected from this series. Heck I'm not even sure if I knew what it was about before adding it to my TBR. Everyone said it was wonderful so I thought I'd give it a try.

Yup it is wonderful. I totally loved Indy Savage, Ally and Lee Nightingale. Lee was a little controlling (okay a lot controlling) but Indy loved him forever and let him get away with a lot (including handcuffs).

There were many funny parts, some serious ones and some dangerous ones. An all around good time was

The fade to black sex scenes... is this a normal thing in Kristen Ashley books? If so then I'm going to be very disappointed. ...more

This started off a bit rocky as Indy was acting TSTL and then it had one of my least favorite plot lines (view spoiler), but luckily the plot line dropped quickly and Indy seemed to finally realize how serious it was (view spoiler). But I really liked Indy and Lee together and their group of friends are delightful ...more

India 'Indy' Savage & Liam 'Lee' Nightingale

It has been 10 years since I read this for the first time, and I am still in love. It was the first book that introduced me to Kristen Ashley, and she became my 2nd auto buy author.

There are not many books where I've absolutely loved all of the characters. So much so that they all stand out and not just the MCs. I love Indy and Lee, but you have to know that my next fav is actually Tex.

Anyway, I laughed just as mu

4.5 stars.. Excellent sassy love story. This is totally NOT what I was expecting. By the title, I assumed this would be about a rock groupie or a rock group member. Nope. I would've read this sooner if I knew it was about a long-time romantic crush that is becoming a reality, between a bookstore owner and a private investigator and security expert. Lee's jealousy was a bit juvenile, but so were Indy's decisions.

This is actually what I had hoped Stephanie Plum and Hunter would be like. It's funn
