Night is a memoir about the author’s experience growing up as a Jewish boy in Eastern Europe and the hardships that he faced in concentration camps during the Nazi’s control of the region. It is a first hand account and the tales that he describes can be quite emotional.

A Dark Tale

But, I know it is imperative to remember and when I saw that Elie Weisel had written his memoir of his experience, I knew this was the book to read. It is a very thorough examination of his survival through several concentration camps- which may have only happened because he was so driven to save his father. There are so few books that make me cry... but this is ...more
