5 stars. I haven't read a children's book in a very, very long time but I had to read this because it's Neil Gaiman (who I'm currently obsessing over). I have no regrets, this was pretty freaking great! I enjoyed this immensely from beginning to end and I definitely get why it's so critically praised.

What a fantastic book! It was a bit creepy and completely wonderful. It's not often I connect so well with a child narrator, but somehow Neil Gaiman makes it easy. It's definitely a book for all ages. ...more
