It was ok. The heroine is less naive than usual and the hero is less possessive. Paranormal aspect is typical for AQ.

I found this one had a bit of a rough start for me. The conversation felt a little stilted and I got more of an info dump impression rather than the natural, amusing conversations I've come to expect from Quick. The banter did come later though and I quickly warmed up to the story. Not my favourite by her but an enjoyable read nonetheless. ...more

I can't explain why, but this book didn't suck me in like JAK's books usually do. I liked the characters just fine, but something was missing. The idea of the Flint and Marsh agency is cool and it was nice to learn more about the women behind it. But overall the mystery wasn't that mysterious nor was "the mystery woman". ...more

I love this author. Her heroines are snappy and sassy, her heroes are crisp and honest the tension among the characters is always delicious. This is the second in the Lantern Street series and I need to find the others.
