The story focuses on the main character, Gina Miyoko, a former cop and current private investigator, assisting her friend, Rose Delgado, who is an agent of the National Park Service, with a case involving looting of Mexican antiquities. As a series debut, the author spends a good amount of time introducing all the characters and setting up future love interests for the series protagonist.
