I only recently discovered this series of mysteries. I say discovered, even though I'm the one who ordered them for the library! I love the main character, Sam Clair, an editor at a small publishing company in London. The secondary characters are also fun: her mother, the formidable attorney Helena; her boyfriend, Detective Inspector Jake Field; her talented Goth assistant Miranda; and her upstairs neighbor, the world-famous architect and decades-long recluse, Pavel Rudiger.
