The unveiling of this worlds rich history and how it works is subtle and doesn't bore you like many YA fantasy books these days. The POV from both the current and the past Tea gives keeps you wanting more and little bread crumbs are left for you to try and figure out what happened, but it doesn't really give you the big picture.
