Great story about the author saving a bobcat kitten in the Mojave Desert after it survives a coyote attack. The bobcat ends up as a family pet but is not restrained in any way. He roams as he pleases but he loves "Johnson" as the author is known and they are together through many adventures which are both fun and educational to read as the author observes and reports on the cat's behavior. Highly recommend for readers who enjoy natural history and memoirs about beloved pets.
