I loved this book. Russo understands human beings, their complexities, their foibles, their paradoxes. I always find the nuances of human behavior so beautifully rendered. Louis C. "Lucy" Lynch grows up in a dying industrial town in upstate New York. He loves his town and inherits his father's sometimes clueless optimism about how the future will turn out.
