What Members Thought
This is more like a 3 1/2.
This book surprised me in several ways.
First - it's not as packed with plot and twists and turns as The Count of Monte Cristo. Particularly in the rather leisurely and wandering first quarter of the book.
Second - I was pleasantly surprised that the Musketeers aren't goody two shoes. They gamble, they fight for spurious reasons, they have secret affairs, and none of them have any sort of sense when it comes to money.

Finally finished with this novel and jeez was it a battle for me.
This had a lot of potential and I really thought I would enjoy it after loving Count of Monte Cristo, and after reading the first third of the book, I thought it wasn't going to be as good as Monte Cristo but still a decent read.
