A delightful and fun read.

This is an old favorite that I really enjoy rereading every few years. I love the adventure, the flowery language, the noble sentiments and brazen behavior of the Pimpernel. There are other stories to follow, but this is the first and best.

Such a fun book! I was expecting the swashbuckling to contain sword fights, for some reason, but I was even happier with the trickster type action.

Now I'm kind of bummed I didn't read it way back when it was first recommended to me (I think I was 12 or 13?) since it's the type of book that could be read as easily as a teen as it is in adulthood.

As a modern woman, I probably ought to be annoyed that Marguerite is utterly useless and irrelevant to the plot (view spoiler)
