What Members Thought
My third reading of this book. Just spectacular up to the point -- two-thirds of the way through--when the two charlatans get on the raft. After that point, the book loses some momentum and beauty. It turns out (I think) that Twain finished the book after having laid it aside for a long time. I suspect that the weaker parts might be the ones written later. What do you say Twain scholars?
