As a kid, I had a neighbor nicknamed Frog. He had a sign above his garage proclaiming his home to be "Toad Hall" and he mentioned it was in honor of this book.

Now that I've read it, something that strikes me as hilarious is that he was a truck driver! Poop-Poop!

Overall, this is just a delightful book, and the narrator (Shelly Frasier) is fantastic. ...more

This book is a tale about true friendship. The message it conveys is to stand by your friends through thick and thin. The adventures of the mole, the water rat, the badger and the toad, who is often overcome by bouts of frenzy will keep the reader engrossed.
