What Members Thought
I'm really not sure how many stars to give this. It was really engaging, but also infuriating. My thoughts could be summed up thus:
I had the vague idea that this was a children's book.
It is not.
Jonathan Swift hates everybody.
He might be using the unreliable narrator device.
He's very convincing at hating everyone.
This was written in the 1720s - people had different viewpoints back them, this was in early days of scientific discovery, the heyday of the slave trade and women's suffrage was a cent ...more
