I really like this play. I’ll admit I did struggle with it at first, everything seemed so abrupt and the characterisation felt rushed but in fact I just wasn’t getting it!
I always find visual Shakespeare helps me understand and really appreciate his text, so I managed to watch Julie Taymor’s movie adaptation and suddenly it all made sense.
