I'm pretty sure I read this both in High School and college, but that's so long ago I'm not really sure. I'll admit I was expecting it to be darker and more dramatic. Of course, the story is quite dark and disturbing, but reading it wasn't. Perhaps that's due to the translation? Anyway, it was interesting to watch Oedipus' character being revealed as the play progressed, and to ponder how much guilt Oedipus actually has.
