This book apart from being a good guide to teaching the concepts of dimensions using mathematical figures, is also a satirical commentary of class of Victorian society. The satire in this is book is applicable to any society, any age and any domain where unjust discrimination exists.

Considered science fiction because it concerns other worlds than our own, this was pretty unique in that the inhabitants are geometric shapes rather than people, and their perspective being two- instead of three-dimensional.
