What Members Thought

This is one of the books I requested next year's 7th graders to read over the summer, so I thought I better reread it. I still found a lot to love--especially Lowry's additions in the new gift edition I purchased.
For example, in her Newbery acceptance speech included at the end of the book, Lowry says:

One of my favorite books when I was younger. I didn't know the writer made a series of this world, so I'm really interested in reading them all!
