A pretty unique novella reminding me slightly of Enhjørningen (The Unicorn), by André Bjerke. Set aboard a ship a chess match against the World Champion takes an unexpected turn when a stranger shows up and alter the game.
It’s funny how I read this book now just as chess has gotten very popular in Norway due to our own champion Magnus Carlsen. I don’t want to say to much more about the story because it’s probably better to discover for yourself, but it was a neat novella and due to it ...more
