What Members Thought
It took me two months to read this one interspersed with many other books which tells me two things: it was challenging reading and it didn't really draw me into a plot the way other works by Dostoyevsky have (The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment). That said, it was excellent writing and a great translation with helpful notes and there were many sections that I loved. I had more trouble with interest in the subject of this novel, too.
