This was a nice little read about 1 day in the life of a political prisoner who was in prison for 10 years. This showed the conditions in gulag and the life under Stalin. And though it's nicely written it might not work for everybody how it connected with the Russian public upon it's release. People who were directly impacted by the misrule and cruelty of Stalin.
