Hemingway writes about a subject that bores me, and yet the book charms me. I loved it because it was outstanding, and beautiful.

The novella tells the story of Santiago, an elderly fisherman who has not caught a fish in nearly three months. He is no longer strong, nor lucky, but remains hopeful and determined.
