A fascinating read -- all the more so because of the history and controversy surrounding this book. I'd be interested to read some of the "anti-Tom" literature now, although little of it made the lasting impression of Stowe's novel.
Even though Stowe is responsible for creating a stereotype, I believe she was relevant to her day, and way ahead of her peers in advocating equality for African Americans.
