It was horrifying to read, I will agree with others on that. My issue was that it ended like Jurassic Park III, in the middle. An officer just shows up in the middle of chaos and everyone is saved. Also, the the officer got there and casually remarked that the boys were "playing at war" it kind of dismissed the seriousness of the entire book. I'm not sure if the author meant to do this (I think he may have). I was expecting Ralph to die, or to become some kind of savage and flash forward to like ...more
