Finished my goal to reread Jane Austen with this book. It's in the middle of the pack for me, in terms of Austen's oeuvre, though it's excellent in comparison to most other books. It's a bit too straight of a romance novel for me. I would have enjoyed the novel better if there had been more supporting characters' stories in it and fewer "does he like me or not?" bits. Still, reading this last week was a good distraction from the failed coup attempt. Maybe those bozos need to read more Jane Auste

I read this book once a year--my absolute favorite novel by Jane Austen!! :)
I tried to read this book, really I did. We read it for my book club and it came highly recommended by a woman whose taste in books I share. I wanted to like this book. But a month later, and I'm still only 38% done with what is a very thin book.

Possibly my favorite Jane Austen novel. Definitely worth another read just to savor the clever lines and subtle humor.
