The movie has long been one of my favorites, so I bought this beautiful illustrated hardcover edition of the book in the expectation of loving it too. Alas, most of what is in the book and not the movie, the movie is far better for being without. The characters are sooo much better in the movie and I found most of the additional backstory from the book to be a detraction, oddly enough. For a satiric novel full of hilarious characters, entertaining adventures, “love”, witticism, sexism and misogyny, it’s not half bad. The movie is great though :)
This was a great book. I totally recommended it. So funny!
