I remember the first time I read this book. I was about 9 or 10 and found it on a shelf of books in the enclosed porch of my grandparent's house where I went every day after school. I remember curling up on the floor, sunshine coming through the big windows, and meeting spoiled Mary, sickly Colin and the magical Dickon inside the walls of the garden. Over fifty years later I find this story just as enchanting as that first time I read it.

Technically finished a little after midnight :)

So, The Secret Garden. Pretty sure this has been read to me as a kid, and I know I've seen the movie. I tackled this Frances Hodgson Burnett book last in the 3 that I chose (A Little Princess and Little Lord Fauntleroy).

I think Secret Garden was her most developed work and I enjoyed seeing her characters, particularly Colin, as they changed. I think Mary's change was a bit more abrupt, but it was also good to see.
