An interesting coming of age story that goes full circle. The “happy” ending still arrives but it takes so many unexpected turns. Of course expectations are made by Pip once he begins to move up in station but then looses them again when things are revealed he wasn’t expecting. Meskipun proses bacanya lama sekali bahkan sempat berhenti hingga lebih dari setahun. Finally I came back to this book and started it again, and it was great. A very detailed journey of someone's character and life development.

I only recently picked this one up ... really enjoyed it. Harry Potter fans may find the similarities between Pip and Harry quite interesting,
